Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Superiore 2022 is an iconic Super-Tuscan from the Antinori family, crafted with deep respect for the terroir of Bolgheri. The wine comes from Tenuta Guado al Tasso, located in the so-called Bolgheri amphitheater near the Tuscan coast – a unique microclimate where sun, cool evening breezes, and calcareous soils combine to give remarkable balance and expression.

The blend is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Cabernet Franc (31%), and Merlot (25%). This combination delivers both power and concentration, alongside elegance and harmony. The 2022 vintage was shaped by warmth and drought, yet balanced by cooler nights and timely August rains, ensuring full ripeness with preserved freshness and structure.

The bouquet is rich and layered, offering dark cherry, blackberry, and violet, followed by notes of tobacco, licorice, espresso, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine shows depth and refinement with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a concentrated fruit core. The texture is full yet composed, carrying both energy and depth.

The finish is long and persistent, marked by graphite, spice, and a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak. Guado al Tasso 2022 is already captivating, but it also has the structure to evolve for 20 years or more, gradually developing tertiary layers of leather, forest floor, and truffle.

Serve at 16–18 °C in generous glasses. A perfect partner for game, lamb, beef, hearty stews, or aged cheeses – yet equally compelling as a pure wine experience on its own.
