Il Pino di Biserno 2021 is a characterful red wine from Tenuta di Biserno in Alta Maremma, Tuscany. Created by Lodovico Antinori as the estate’s second wine, it has established itself as one of the region’s most recognized cuvées. Il Pino offers a more approachable interpretation of the Biserno estate, yet carries the same depth, elegance, and signature style.

The blend combines Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. This composition brings together power and richness with finesse and balance. The 2021 vintage enjoyed a harmonious growing season, with warm days and cool nights that ensured perfectly ripe, aromatic grapes with remarkable freshness.

The bouquet opens with ripe blackcurrant, cherry, and dark plum, layered with violets, cedar, licorice, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is full and concentrated, yet balanced by silky tannins and vibrant acidity that give clarity and lift. The finish is long and persistent, with dark fruit, spice, and a subtle mineral tone.

Il Pino di Biserno 2021 is already inviting, but also has the strength to develop for 20 years or more. It pairs beautifully with red meat, game, mushroom or truffle dishes, and aged cheeses – or enjoyed on its own as a refined expression of Tuscan coastal winemaking.
