The grapes come from old vines, some more than 50 years of age, planted on hillside vineyards around Montecarotto in the Marche region. Clay and limestone soils provide structure and minerality, while altitude and cool nights preserve freshness. Only the best clusters are chosen for the Riserva, and vinification follows traditional methods with extended aging in large old oak casks. The wine is released only when it has achieved the depth and complexity that define Villa Bucci.

The 2005 vintage demonstrates Verdicchio’s remarkable ability to evolve with age. The color is golden with green reflections. The bouquet reveals citrus, ripe yellow fruit, herbs, almond, and beeswax, layered with saline and mineral notes.
