Tenuta Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Madonna del Piano 2015 is a single-vineyard Brunello of absolute world-class stature — awarded 100 points by James Suckling and regarded as one of the most iconic wines ever produced in Tuscany. The wine comes from the legendary Madonna del Piano vineyard, where some vines are nearly fifty years old, deeply rooted in the rocky soils of northern Montalcino.

Produced only in the finest vintages and in very limited quantities, Madonna del Piano represents the purest expression of Valdicava’s philosophy: uncompromising quality, depth, and a true sense of terroir. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by five years of aging in a combination of barriques and large Slavonian oak casks before bottling and further refinement.

The bouquet is intense and captivating, with aromas of dark fruit, plum, forest floor, truffle, violet, leather, vanilla, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is rich and powerful yet incredibly refined, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and remarkable length. The balance between strength and elegance is extraordinary, and the finish lingers endlessly with notes of dark berries and spice.
