GAJA – Ca’Marcanda Vistamare Bianco di Toscana IGT 2023 is a captivating white wine from Bolgheri in Tuscany, crafted at the Ca’Marcanda estate by Angelo Gaja. The name “Vistamare,” meaning “sea view,” reflects the coastal light and breezes that shape its unique character.

The 2023 vintage is a blend of Vermentino, Viognier, and Fiano. Each variety is vinified separately: Vermentino in stainless steel to preserve freshness and minerality, Viognier in small French barriques to add body and aromatic depth, and Fiano in large casks or concrete for structure and tension. The final blend rests for around six months, achieving balance, complexity, and harmony.

The bouquet reveals citrus, lime, and starfruit, layered with white flowers, hints of sea breeze, and delicate spice. On the palate, Vistamare 2023 is medium-bodied, silky, and precise. Vermentino contributes freshness and nerve, Viognier brings round fruit and floral tones, while Fiano adds structure and length. The finish is long, mineral-driven, and lightly saline, leaving an elegant and inviting impression.

Enjoyable already, the wine also has the potential to develop greater depth over the next 3–5 years. Serve at 10–12 °C in generous glasses. Vistamare 2023 pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled fish, light meats, pasta with herbs – or simply as a sophisticated experience on its own.
